A panel is a group of pre-screened consumers that can be accessed on an ongoing basis for various studies. Panels are a great solution for clients who want to make the consumer a priority.
When assembling a panel for a client, we first make sure we understand exactly what type of consumer you want. Maybe you want a few different segments to be represented in your panel. Once we’re agreed on the specs, then we go out and find them in their world, conducting a face-to-face interview with each candidate. (For more information on our recruiting process, click here).
Once you have a panel, the sky is the limit on your research capabilities. In-depth studies can be designed around the target. Or quick studies can be conducted at the last minute with very little hassle – online surveys, product testing, a couple rounds of focus groups. Maybe you want a couple consumers to come participate in a brainstorming session next week – they’re ready and waiting for you. If your department owns a panel, you have a pool of consumers at your beck and call.
